In short: everything from the game belongs to Riot Games. Comp data comes from TFT Academy and game data from CommunityDragon; both are credited here. The commentary and analysis on this site are original and copied from nowhere.

Riot Games

TFTStats is not affiliated with or endorsed by Riot Games. All trademarks, service marks and trade names related to Riot Games and Teamfight Tactics are the property of Riot Games, Inc.

Every champion name, image, trait icon, item icon and in-game term on this site is the intellectual property of Riot Games, used on a non-commercial information site under Riot's fan content policy.

Data sources

  • CommunityDragon — champion, item, augment and trait data along with their images. An open project that mirrors Riot's game files for the community. All icons on this site are loaded from CommunityDragon, never hotlinked from another fan site.
  • TFT Academy — tier ratings for meta comps, board positioning, star levels and item assignments.
  • Riot Games API — high elo match data. Used only to produce aggregate statistics; no individual player identity or profile is published.

What we take from sources, and what we do not

This distinction is deliberate. A comp's tier rating, unit positions on the board, star levels and which item goes on which unit are facts, and facts are not protected by copyright.

By contrast, a source site's prose guidance is its editorial writing. That text is never taken, stored or displayed — the collector does not even read it.

The “Game Plan” section on comp pages is produced by TFTStats from the facts above rather than from anyone's text: the early board, added units, star targets, trait breakpoints and item priorities are computed and written out.

Patch write-ups

The articles on the patch page are TFTStats' own analysis. Riot's patch note text is never reproduced, translated or republished.

The rules we apply:

  • The official patch note text is never copied; only the effect of a change on the meta is described in our own words, from our own measurements.
  • Every article links to Riot's official patch notes.
  • If an article was produced by an AI model, that is stated on the article itself.
  • Where a quote is necessary it is kept short, placed in quotation marks and attributed.
